During the approximately two-hour drive to Lake Enriquillo, you will stop at a scenic viewpoint that is ideal for capturing impressive landscape photographs. Lake Enriquillo is one of the country’s most striking natural landscapes and lies about 40 metres below sea level. The region is characterized by a hot, dry climate, yet springs and small rivers make certain areas surprisingly fertile. You will then take a boat trip on the lake, heading first to a section of the shoreline where there is a good chance of observing crocodiles in their natural habitat.
